Why use firebug and page speed to control your web pages?

You can edit, debug, and monitor CSS, HTML, and JavaScript live in any web page.Major points of interest for this excelent firefox plugin:
  • You can open this tool in a separate window (best solution if you work in a dual monitor system), or as an integrated bar at the bottom of your browser(firefox obvouisly)
  • Right-click anywhere in your web page you get the possibility to open firebug viewing the html source code directly at the point you are; without the need to scroll the entire source.
  • For a particular tag you can view all the css details for it.
  • You can monitor the network activity file by file, so that you can undrstand which file is taking more time to download. Good solution to speed up your pages loading.
  • I am not a javascript guru, but you have all the necessry tools to debug, profile and find errors in javascript scripts. You can even execute javascript command on the fly!
